The Counties Manukau U18 Men finished third at the recent National Association Tournanment held in Canterbury last week.

After topping the pool early in the tournament, they faced the home side Canterbury in the quarter finals. Controlling the game well they won 2-0 to progress to the semi finals against North Harbour.

At the end of regulation time the score was tied 2 all and the game went to strokes. North Harbour put away all of there five chances to win 5-4.

Next up the team faced Waikato in the playoff for 3rd and 4th. After regulation time the scores were tied 1-1. Both teams scored all five attempts and the game went into sudden death. Counties Manukau keeper Chris Lowe pulled out a big save and the game ended 6-5 to Counties Manukau.
