The introduction of a new format for the National Under 18 tournament in 2013 requires the development of a plan to enable Midlands Hockey to select and support the athletes throughout the campaign.

This tournament will mirror the National Under 21 tournament, and will see Midlands Hockey's Under 18 teams competing against Northern, North Harbour, Auckland, Central, Capital, Canterbury and Otago for National honours.
